The company name Allotrope was chosen accordingly as it relates to the founder’s background and passion in (bio-) chemistry/ pharmacy, but also to the variety of Olaf as a person. His adaptive ability and sensitivity allow and enable him to choose the right “structure” (characteristics) based on the circumstances.
In Chemistry, different structural modifications of the same chemical substance are referred to as allotropes. Carbon for example comes across as Diamond, Graphite, Graphene, und Fullerene. Carbon. Carbon is also the element of life, and because we love life and working with people, the benzene ring was chosen as part of the logo.
In more than 20 years of (international) work and many years of mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and change programs, Olaf has worked with all different types and levels of people (manufacturing, research, management up to CEO / CFO level) in all different international, cultural and political environments.
The expertise and insights gained led to an uncommon way of looking at contemporary setups of organizations and distribution of ownership. Olaf’s constant exchange with a broad and diverse network, but also according benchmark shows that many others (companies and individuals) are struggling with similar challenges, creating the need for flexible and fast support, and sustainable solutions in a rapidly changing world.
Olaf van der Linden brings more than 22 years of (international) work experience, ranging from family owned business to multinationals. During that time and over a period of more than 10 years, he experienced and mastered various merger and acquisition projects. The combination of his background in (bio-) chemistry, his experience as international procurement professional, and track record in HR MSP/ VMS program implementation and as change manager makes him a unique asset. Olaf is capable of breaking down complex topics into simple, tangible items without creating ‘losers’ but only winners. Thereby, his charm, combined with high sensitivity and cognitive flexibility, is a crucial success factor.
