“I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Olaf van der Linden in his capacity as Global Sourcing Business Partner to contract an external consultancy to support the Respiratory TA in the revision of the TA strategy during 2017.
Apart from the usual support expected from Global Sourcing in the evaluation and selection of external vendors, Mr. van der Linden succeeded to introduce a “”Creative Cost Model Concept”” which was totally new for the kind of strategic work that was required within the project. The approach was based on holding back satisfaction linked payments (per pre-defined criteria) and including focused-coaching over a period of 3 years related to the strategy implementation. This was a unique approach within this context and allowed for a model for our external partner to put “”skin in the game””. Due to evolving needs the model was subsequently adapted to allow for optimal use of the focused-coaching time to serve more specific consultancy needs with the continued support of Mr. van der Linden.
